Led by our research assistant Murchana, we supported our Pamplin MBA Program in Hospitality and Tourism Management at the 2022 Annual International CHRIE Summer Conference August 3-6, 2022 at the Renaissance Washington, D.C. Downtown Hotel.
We featured a variety of examples of IoT automation including small Arduino shield and micro:bit Cyberbot robots and a smart mirror built with a Raspberry Pi processor, and also a variety of virtual experiences through Oculus headsets. We hoped to create discussions of the future of automation in the hospitality industry and graduate student and faculty perceptions, beliefs, and attitudes.
